Our JV softball team took first place in the J.R. Tucker Softball Tournament on Saturday.

Cosby vs. Glen Allen

Allison Wanamaker and Kyra Hogate allowed only 6 total hits for the game.  Jenise Kline was the MVP for the game, Baily Hairfield was the MVP for the tournament. In the bottom of the 5th, Bailey had a tag at home from a throw from Centerfielder Avery Hairfield. We caused Glen Allen to leave 10 on Base and still won 2-1.  We came from losing 2-1.  In the top of the 6th inning, we scored 2 runs and were able to hold them in the bottom of the 6th and in the bottom of the 7th when they had bases loaded.   Jenise Kline and Baily Hairfield had our hits for the game with Hannah Dalton having a long fly ball to right field to move score a run.
The squad beat JR Tucker 13-0 and Hermitage 22-0 in the other two games!
