Cosby’s Varsity Club is made up of student-athletes who have lettered in a varsity sport and who are in good standing with their academic classes.  It is a club that tries to benefit the student-athlete and the community.

The club was started in Cosby’s first year by Coach Tim Lowery.  Coach Lowery’s vision was a club that reached out into the community to help others, especially children.

Since the very first year, the students of  Varsity Club hold a yearly Toy drive for children who are at the CJW Pediatric Unit. This year was no different.  Last week the sponsors held a party after school to collect the toys (THANK YOU MAGLIO’s PIZZA and CHIC-FIL-A for supplying the delicious food!).  This year, the club invited members of the Chesterfield Police Department to join us for food and discussions.

On Monday, many of the student-athletes met at CJW Hospital to deliver the toys and spend time with the children who are in the Pediatric Unit.
