Boys Junior Varsity Football, Boys Varsity Football · Football Fall Update and Fundraiser Info

Many of you have already heard that the VHSL met today and decided to push the start of all sport seasons to December. I am including the start dates for all seasons.
Winter Athletics = 12/14 – 2/20 (1st contest can be 12/28)
Fall Athletics = 2/15 – 5/1 (1st contest can be 3/1) **This season would include spring break –               PLAN ON HAVING GAMES OVER SPRING BREAK**
Spring Athletics = 4/12 – 6/26 (1st contest can be 4/26)
All dates and schedules are not finalized as of yet. Based on the above dates, football will be playing the week of Spring Break.
As to conditioning, the county has not given us any indication of when we can begin. As soon as I hear something, I will send out information.
I am also including information on a Fundraiser that we will be doing for the next few weeks. We will be selling Titan Tumblers.I am attaching a link to the flyer :   https://cosbytitansfb.itemorder.com/sale?read_message=true
Tumblers are also available based on  the various professional teams as well as the NCAA. The Titan tumblers are on the bottom of the flyer. The fundraiser will run until August 19. Many of you may be asking why the need for a fundraiser if the season is being pushed back? There are a couple reasons, the main one is that the Cosby Athletic boosters were not able to hold the annual Cosby Golf Tournament during the Spring because of the virus. The golf tournament is the largest fundraiser and income producer that the athletic department has. Also, without football playing in the Fall there will not be income from ticket sales and or concessions. Many of the costs that a sport such as football has are incurred before the season begins, things such as new equipment, field maintenance, and our HUDL account( Hudl is our on-line video storage, scouting, communications, highlights and playbook platform). The county only pays for coaching stipends and some travel expenses, the athletic department must raise the rest. Please take a look at the flyer, any help you, your friends or family members can give will be greatly appreciated. Also, if you know any businesses or individuals who would like to make a donation to sponsor the team or the athletic department in general, let me know and I will get you in touch with our AD, Mr. Swartz.
If anyone has any questions, please let me know. I can be reached via email at peter_mutascio@ccpsnet.net.
Thank you.
