Listed below is important information for each sport. Due to CCPS/VDH/VHSL guidelines, all COVID-19 protocols will be enforced. Athletes must adhere to the protocols put in place by CCPS, Cosby HS, and the coaches.
Also due to COVID-19 protocols, we are requesting that athletes pre-register so we can set up tryout sessions with the allowed number of attendees present in the gym. All athletes are encouraged to bring their own water bottle, towel, and hand sanitizer.
Students who are at Cosby the day of tryouts will be dismissed from class at 3 pm and must report directly to the designated meeting place for their sport. These athletes will be allowed to change in a locker room but will not be able to store personal items. Personal items should be placed in a bag (water proof if outside) while at practice and be left in an area designated by the coach for supervision.
Athletes who are at home, due to hybrid or being virtual, will need to arrive at Cosby ready to practice – no locker room access will be available for changing. Please plan to arrive no sooner than 3:20 to allow the parking lot to clear out. NO PARKING IS PERMITTED IN THE BUS LOOP.
Athletes will be be given the CCPS COVID-19 health assessment before they are permitted to attend/participate. **Any athlete feeling ill or having symptoms of COVID-19 must notify the coach and not attend practices.
Girls Basketball: Girls Basketball tryouts will run December 7-9, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. Athletes at Cosby should report directly to the PE hallway behind the gym after they are released from class at 3 PM. If an athlete has to go out to their car to get gear, they should then enter the school at door #9. Athletes who are virtual should arrive at Cosby at 3:20, park in the student parking lot, and enter school at door #9. A coach will be there to monitor and give health assessment. More information to follow. Please contact Coach Hartman at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
