Big Third Inning Propels Cosby Titans Varsity Win Over Clover Hill
A six-run third inning led Cosby Titans Varsity to an 11-2 victory on Friday. Sophie Tully, Lauren Bender, Tivonia Cole, and Emily Mitterer all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Cosby Titans Varsity got things started in the first inning when Bender doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Cosby Titans Varsity tallied six runs in the third inning. Cosby Titans Varsity big bats were led by Tully, Bender, Cole, and Mitterer, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Taylor Norton was the winning pitcher for Cosby Titans Varsity. She allowed five hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking zero.

Ally Latino led things off on the hill for Clover Hill. She went two innings, allowing five runs on six hits, striking out two and walking zero. Madi Williams and Hannah Duncan entered the game as relief, throwing three innings and two innings respectively.

Cosby Titans Varsity totaled 15 hits. Tully, Jessica Caminiti, Cole, and Bender each racked up multiple hits for Cosby Titans Varsity. Tully went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Cosby Titans Varsity in hits. Cosby Titans Varsity was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Leah Butts made the most plays with six.

Williams led Clover Hill with two hits in three at bats.
