Pitching By Taylor Shuts Out James River, Cosby Titans Takes The Win

Taylor Norton threw a shutout to lead Cosby Titans past James River 13-0 on Thursday.
Jenise Kline led Cosby Titans to victory by driving in four runs. She went 3-for-4 at the plate. Kline drove in runs on a home run in the fourth, a double in the sixth, and a double in the sixth.
Cosby Titans put up ten runs in the sixth inning. Sophie Tully, Kline, Alexandra DiNardo, Lauryn Richardson, Norton, and Laurenne Gallagher all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
One bright spot for James River was a single by B Thornton in the fifth inning.
Norton pitched Cosby Titans to victory. She lasted six innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out 11 and walking zero.
J Webster took the loss for James River. She lasted six innings, allowing 14 hits and 13 runs while striking out four and walking zero.
Cosby Titans smacked two home runs on the day. Kline had a dinger in the fourth inning. Tully went for the long ball in the sixth inning.
Cosby Titans had 14 hits in the game. Richardson, Kline, and Gallagher all collected multiple hits for Cosby Titans. Kline and Richardson each collected three hits to lead Cosby Titans. Cosby Titans didn’t commit a single error in the field. DiNardo had the most chances in the field with 11.
Thornton led James River with one hit in two at bats.
