Cosby Titans Varsity Can’t Catch Up To Lee-Davis
Cosby Titans Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 5-2 loss to Lee-Davis on Monday. Lee-Davis took the lead on a single in the second inning.
Lee-Davis opened up scoring in the second inning, when Carlee Harding singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Lee-Davis scored three runs in the fifth inning. Hayli Wagner, Logan Hawker, and Jesse Gentry all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Savanah Henley was the winning pitcher for Lee-Davis. She went seven innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking one.
Taylor Norton took the loss for Cosby Titans Varsity. She allowed ten hits and five runs over seven innings, striking out three.
Cosby Titans Varsity racked up seven hits in the game. Taylor Parrish and Lauren Bender each managed multiple hits for Cosby Titans Varsity. Parrish went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Cosby Titans Varsity in hits.
Lee-Davis collected ten hits. Lauren Taylor, Harding, and Gentry each collected multiple hits for Lee-Davis. Taylor led Lee-Davis with three hits in four at bats.
