After coming up only 20 points short to James River in the “Final Five” meet last week, the girls were fired up and came ready to win.The Cosby girls fell to James River 191-95 in what was a heartbreaking loss. Point scoring finishes for the night are as follows:

200 medley relay: 2nd Isabelle Bauer (SR), Cassidy Doyle (SO), Lauren Shoemaker (SR), Kylie Thompson (SO)

200 free: 3rd Anna Watson (JR), 4th Caroline Shockley (JR), 6th Ava Tarabocchia (FR)

200 IM: 3rd Cynthia Huang (FR), 4th Kylie Thompson (SO), 6th Lauren Shoemaker (SR)

50 free: 2nd Isabelle Bauer (SR), 5th Abbey Stephens (SR)

100 fly: 3rd Cynthia Huang (FR), 4th Anna Watson (JR)

100 free: 5th Lauren Shoemaker (SR), 6th Grace Clemens (SO)

500 free: 4th Caroline Shockley (JR), 5th Madeline Corbett (JR), 7th Ava Tarabocchia (FR)

200 free relay: 3rd Abbey Stephens (SR), Cynthia Huang (FR), Grace Clemens (SO), Anna Watson (JR)

400 free relay: 2nd Anna Watson (JR), Kylie Thompson (SO), Lauren Shoemaker (SR), Isabelle Bauer (SR)

Regional qualifying times were achieved by Isabelle Bauer (SR) in 50 free and 100 back, Cassidy Doyle (SO) in 100 breast, and Cynthia Huang (FR) in 100 fly. Regional times were also achieved by the 200 medley and 400 free relays.

The girls will compete one last time locally in the final All-County wrap-up meet on February 1st before competing for the Regional Title on February 4th, where they hope to repeat their success from last year with another win.
